Vehicle Description
Brief history of the Volkswagen Bus
The Volkswagen Type II is considered a cultural icon by car enthusiasts and historians alike. However, years before it was associated with hippies, free love, and protests against war, it served as a basic people mover. It was just the second Volkswagen model built, following the Beetle. Starting its production life off as a Panel Van in 1949, the Type II has gone by numerous names and has seen many variations over the years: the Kombi, Samba-Bus, Single Cab, Crew Cab/Double Cab, and the Westfalia Camping van just to name a few. From a day at the beach to weeks spent camping in the woods; the Volkswagen Type II has always offered versatility, freedom, innovation, and individuality. The Type II not only evolved but was completely revised periodically, these variations are referred to as versions "T1" to "T5". From roughly 1953 until 2013, Volkswagen also produced these vehicles in Brazil.

Our Rating
Classic Car
At CCC we look at five major characteristics of the cars to create a classification of each vehicle. The paint, body, interior, mechanical, and electrical are all ranked in order to give customers a more tangible measurement of the condition of one of our cars. Our classic inventory receives a classification that shows our cars having an overall condition score or 3-4 on a 5-point scale of condition. We would classify these as fun driver quality vehicles that people can enjoy and represent solid investments. These look terrific with excellent mechanicals. They may be older restorations with some evidence of prior repair. You can look more closely at the designations by looking at the vehicle inspection report for the car.
